weird textures – athmospheric like the French comic Renaissance, showing Paris in the 2050s. http://www.highlightzone.de/comic/renaissance.html nice artwork – would be interesting to fill it with functional / spatial programs for humans.

Nice design – Though it looks like a huge fascistic war machine powered by the energy of its citizens, a functional city, a huge monster who consumes it citizens. It is a city of control and surveillance: “which on the contrary involves very little expense. There is no need for arms, physical violence, material constraints. Just a gaze. An inspecting gaze, a gaze which each individual under its weight will end by interiorising to the point that he is his own overseer, each individual thus exercising this surveillance over, and against, himself. A superb formula: power exercised continuously and for what turns out to be a minimal cost” (Foucault). I could not see myself living there.
