great images but the blending of the two tone-mapped images in the third picture should have been done better. The sky should be a continuous color/gradient. Phenomenal HDR work beyond that. Love the rich color and composition, especial the stairs.

Really awesome house. Create natural feel but I feel some of the design would get in the way of living.

It might look nice, but its impractical (all that glass and rail-less stairs). Its of that cold blocky modern style that I don’t really care for. Whats so interesting about squares and ninety degree angles?

Dangerous staircase. You should never compromise safety in favour of aesthetics.

and comfy at the same time… simplicity always will be perfect…beyond compare.

Beautiful house but the irony of putting such an expensive piece of property in such a poor country. Only tourists and foreigners could possibly afford this property and many of the denizens of Costa Rica are subsisting off of a sub-standard of living day in and day out.

I love the way everything seems flying in this clearly selected rooms, even the walls and the stairs sometimes even the floor is weightless it´s awesome! everything is influenced by natural light… so much space!

Simple and Elegant. The extensive use of glass makes the interior looks much more spacious than it actually is. The interaction between outdoor and indoor spaces i meticulously articulated.

Looks like a law suit to me. The “floating” stair with no handrails is an architectural disaster waiting to happen. The really sad thing is that there are lots more examples of this in the contemporary design world. Staircases falls injury thousands of people each year, even when they are designed right.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love the simple modern shapes and incorporation of stones and open spaces.

No doubt los pobres de costa rica (99.9%) will enjoy smashing it to pieces, when the US fails, and there is no-one to protect the occupants.
Its architecture it is as cold, and as sterile as the culture that produced it.
