I find it frustrating too that the treees don’t have a message to convey. They just stand there, void and vapid.
with the stupid fucking sunset oozing nothing but stupid cooleur.

Painters have sketchbooks, sculptors have clay mock ups, and motionographers have motion tests. That’s all this is. Your not going to find the meaning of life in Cezanne’s sketchbook or his color studies, so why look for it here?

This is a great experiment not only because of the 3D morphing shape, but the use of color and subtle, lifelike camera movements that really pull you into it.

The artist here is surely going to use what he’s learned through this process to make something fantastic. Even if the end result doesn’t resolve some world issue it will still inspire other artists and enrich the lives of the viewers.

hey ps…you sound a bit jealous. Sure, the message is purely visual. But if you’ve got it all figured out, can you send a link to your stuff? Because, if as you say, ‘anybody’ could do this, then one can assume your stuff should be equally as good as this, if not better. Why don’t you let us have a look?

yes… my point exactly was that he doesn’t care. my point was, we *should* care. this does absolutely nothing for the world. it’s empty and vapid. anyone could do this, there is nothing personal about it.

sometimes i find it sad that when a designer takes a bunch of hours of their own free time to create something with no limits, the best meaningful message they come up with to communicate is “chromatic aberrations are well known, check the color.” i mean, with all the crap going on in the world, the need for precise, engaging education and opinion swaying is high. use your time and creativity for something that isn’t just another meaningless 3d wank-off.
